The large contact area provided by the track roller units for CLAAS combine harvesters, forage harvesters and tractors ensures optimum soil protection.
The silage maize conditioning technology known by the SHREDLAGE® brand name processes the crop intensively and increases the surface area of the chopped material many times over.
More than 30,000 farmers, contractors, distributors, potential customers, farming journalists and business partners from more than 100 countries around the world visit the Technoparc each year.
Under the name “Gebrüder Claas” (Claas Brothers), the firm became well known all around the world. So who were the company’s founding fathers, August, Bernhard, Franz and Theo, and what were they like?
Join us on a journey through the past century – on the path leading from the knotter to today’s LEXION machines, the world’s most powerful combine harvester.
Experience the fascinating story of CLAAS at first hand. Join us on an exciting journey through the history of agricultural technology in the CLAAS company museum.
Data have long since become an indispensable resource. To profit from their full potential, you should take good care of them, just as you would your machinery fleet.
Data management
Data have long since become an indispensable resource. To profit from their full potential, you should take good care of them, just as you would your machinery fleet.
Online recording of the crop yield, moisture content and constituents by means of the QUANTIMETER and NIR sensor plays an important role in documenting machine activity.
All systems, machines and work processes have to be meaningfully connected, and data generated must be sent to many different places for analysis.
When you want to know exactly what you're dealing with.
High accuracy.
Throughput measurement with the QUANTIMETER.
The deflection of the precompression rollers is recorded and the volume flow measured continuously. A very high degree of accuracy in measuring the throughput is achieved through regular calibration by counterweighing.
In 38 measurement runs, a deviation of 0.2% was determined in DLG Fokus Test 6168 F.
Advantages.
Direct measurement of the volume harvested
Yield mapping for a specific area
Display of filling weight to avoid overloading forage trailers
Enables easy, transparent billing
Data as basis for source stream accounting and fertiliser ordinance.

NIR dry matter measurement
The measuring procedure using near infrared spectroscopy runs continuously during the harvesting process without affecting the crop flow in the forage harvester.
A light source in the upper discharge chute is directed at the crop as it flows past and is reflected in different ways, depending on the crop moisture level.
In the DLG Fokus Test 6168F conducted during maize harvesting, a deviation of < 2% in the dry matter content was found in 95% of the measurements.
The DLG Test Report 7020 conducted during grass harvesting, reported a deviation of < 2% in the dry matter content in 88% of the measurements.
Advantages.
Billing on basis of dry matter content
Silage additive dosage based on dry matter content
No-one gets grass like CLAAS.
Constituent identification using NIR.
In addition to measuring the dry matter content, the NIR sensor provides information about the constituents of the different crops. The CLAAS NIR sensor detects constituents and measures the dry matter content in the crop.
It is the only one in the market recognised by the DLG (Deutsche Landwirtschafts Gesellschaft - German Agricultural Society) for its performance in grass (DLG test report 7020).
Depending on the crop, the following constituents are measured.
Dry matter
Moisture
Starch
Crude protein
Crude fibre
Crude ash
Crude fat
Sugar
Advantages.
Forage quality indicator
Evaluation of the quality of different varieties to aid decision-making during cropping planning, e.g. on basis of starch content
Process optimisation: the right solution for every user.
Data and fleet management
Successful agricultural operations always call for well thought-out business planning. The aim is to maximise the potential of every area, optimise processes and conserve resources.
Improve work processes. The machine status display allows you to keep track of your JAGUAR and optimise factors such as your transport logistics and process times. Optimise settings. On the basis of up-to-the-minute data, you can immediately send instructions - for the length of cut, for example - straight to the machine. Simplify documentation. Profit from various expansion stages, ranging from job management and yield mapping on the machine all the way up to online data management.
On-board job management on the machine.
Specific jobs can be started and stopped; optional printer for hard-copy output.
Automatic documentation.
Without any intervention by the machine operator, work data relating to the specific fields worked are transferred to the TELEMATICS server where they are ready for immediate further processing.
Yield mapping for farm management software.
The farm management software helps to collect, manage and apply data about the farm, providing the user with a complete overview at all times. If an S10 terminal is fitted, the yield mapping is shown in real time. The data can be transmitted to the farm management software for further use.
Fleet View.
The app makes it possible to coordinate the transport team so that the JAGUAR can keep on working without idle time.
